Kicking off Labor Day weekend with a what I hope to be a new blog series. Byte bites will be a collection of web links, recipes, ideas, and inspirations of things I’m currently taking a bite of. I’ve written a slew of “link” style of posts in the past, but want to bring them back. As a reader, I love reading these style of posts and I hope you enjoy them too.

I’m headed to Beaver Creek, CO to enjoy the long weekend and I cannot wait for a change of scenery and some mountain air. I hope you all have a great weekend.

I discovered Whitney Port’s podcast, With Whit last weekend and binged almost the whole series. I’ll always love LC, but Whitney was always my inspiration on The Hills/The City. She drops new episodes every Tuesday.

I’m a new follower of Ashley Kane and her How to Nancy Meyers blog post solidified why I follow her.

On the Nancy Meyers topic, I’ve been loving Ashely’s playlist Nancy Meyers Vibes and this Nancy Meyer’s Kitchen playlist. Ideal work from home background noise.

I’m leaning into fall around my apartment. That means pulling my Nest Pumpkin Chai candle out of retirement. I light the candle the moment I wake up and it sets the best tone for the day.

I recently subscribed to the weekly newsletter, Girls Night In. Their newsletter goes out every Friday and it’s full of recommendations for the modern girl.

Sweats and the City is a new favorite follow of mine on Instagram. They are New York City-based fitness influencers who review different boutique studios around the city. However, they also mix in a healthy dose of food, beauty, and lifestyle content that makes it enjoyable if you aren’t in NYC. I absolutely love their Monday “snacktime” IGTV’s and spent a few days watching episode after episode to catch up.

Are you following @confessionsofarentaholic? It’s my new creative outlet and I’ve been having so much fun with the graphics, community, and fashion that has resulted from it.

I bought Gaby’s No Kid Hungry spatula for myself yesterday. Click the link to see why it was an obvious purchase.

On the menu for the weekend: I’ll be in the mountains with my Tini Tuesday friends so an Espresso Martini and a Mary Martini are likely in our future and should be in yours.

Idea for your weekend: I spent this past Sunday cozied up on a couch with a few friends watching a marathon of Nora Ephron movies. We got through When Harry Met Sally and You’ve Got Mail, while we wore our pajamas, drank mimosas, and made breakfast for dinner. See photo above from when I was heading out the door, slippers on and my contributions in tow: champagne, a baguette, and blueberry jam.
