Bites of My Life

I started re-watching Gossip Girl last week so it's been a pretty good week. Bachelorette, new recipes, a new roommate, wedding pictures, and yoga, filled the days too. The fact that it's August though pretty much has my mind blown. I'm still denying the fact the summer has to end, so I'm not letting it. I have so many things to check off my to-do list still!
This week is off to the perfect start this morning. A start to sister's birthday week includes breakfast and The Today Show at my house! I hope to keep the days slow and intentional this week. I want to savor every last bit of the carefree summer days before they get replaced with busy autumn months.
-I can't stand you Kaitlyn, but at least you made the right decision.
-I had quinoa fried rice running through my blood last week!
-Sister's wedding pictures came in on Thursday and I'm mildly obsessed. The funnest way to relive the best day. Only problem is how obnoxious I realized I can be. I'm talking mouth open, hands in the air, trying to get in every picture taken, kind of obnoxious.
-Roommate Lindsay finally got moved in last week. We had the best time showing her OKC's best spots this weekend. I actually played tourist with her at our city's food truck festival, first time for both of us.
-Made a b-line for the Mediterranean food truck. Got this incredible oregano chicken over rice with falafel.
-Not even two minutes after ordering it got completely knocked out of my hand...I was on the verge of tears. Don't mess with me and food. Bit my lip and went back to order it again, the truck threw in a free baklava because they felt bad for me!
-Pulled myself out of bed Saturday morning to celebrate our Lululemon's 2nd birthday at #SweatstockOKC! A full day of free classes out in front of the shop. Photo creds.
-An amazing yoga class by our favorite teacher with my day one yogi!
-Post sweat sesh refueling at The Red Cup
-A sea of S'well.
-Cookie butter rice krispies for friends and co-workers because I have to get this jar out of my pantry before I gorge the whole thing.
-Sunday night carbs during the premiere of Bachelor in Paradise. When one bachelor door closes, another opens. This show never ends.

Fatigued

I'm having a major camo moment right now. I love how the pattern gives off the sense of blending in while still standing out. It all started when I tried on a pair of Sanctuary pants at my new favorite store in D.C, Wink. Then I went to work the next day and my ultra fabulous boss said camo was cool, so now I think it's basically the best thing ever.
Now that it's on my radar I have been seeing it everywhere. Lululemon even just came out with a small line of camo. I had my heart set on this pair of shorts, but I think they sold out over night.
1. J.Crew jacket  2. Lululemon bra  3. Lululemon racerback  4. Rag & Bone top  5. Forever 21 slip-ons  6. Warby Parker glasses  7. Superga sneakers  8. Lululemon wunder unders  9. Sanctuary cargo pants  10. Loft pants 11. Asos mini skirt
Camo as we know, was a pattern made to blend in, so it goes with just about anything. I'm dying for those Sanctuary pants, mini skirt and the slip-on sneaks!

p.s. If you still didn't know, I'm blogging at my job this summer, so you can read YoDeb! in between my gapping posts!

When Life Gives You Lemons

On Saturday morning, I had a huge lemon thrown at me. Not literally, but when I say lemon I mean Lululemon. After Barre3 Rise & Dine they gave out goodie bags and had a drawing for a free Lululemon outfit. I have to mention I don't ever win anything, but Saturday must have been my lucky day because this little girl won herself some new lulu!
Timing was perfect because I have been majorly crushing over all their new spring gear. Below are some of my current faves.

After our barre class was over, I made a b-line to the Classen Curve Lulu. I think I tried on half the store, but happily walked out with the Breathe & Flow tank and Sun Salutation pants. Mark my word when I will most likely wear these leggings everyday this week. They have pockets and that's enough for me.

Lulu Loving

Welcome to OKC Lulu! We have had a showroom in the city for about the past 9 months, but a full fledged store front opened in Classen Curve a week and half ago! I was dying to get up the store to do a little shopping.
Below are my recent purchases! My favorite lulu tank is the power Y tank. I have it in a mint green version, but the plum color is perfect for going into fall!
Beside my tank I stayed pretty simple and picked out some basic black speed shorts and inspire crops. My inspire crops actually have the fun bright color waist band shown on the purple speed shorts.

I highly recommend these three products. The speed shorts are without a doubt my favorite shorts lulu makes and same with the power Y tank. I am new to the inspire crops, but I got great recommendations on them!

One of my best friends just started working at the new store so now I have an even better excuse to go! I love shopping in person instead of having to drool over my computer while I would online shop!

How can you not love lulu?

Color Crush: Mint

c600x665.jpg
Pantone may have named emerald green the "color of the year," but I have found myself more prone to mint. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my freshly painted mint nails. Below are some of my favorite mint picks for the season!

Clockwise:
-This Anthropologie sweater has become a staple in my closet and best of all it is now on sale! I throw it on with jeans or shorts, and dress it up with wedges or down with converse. Great for those chilly spring evenings.
-I've had my heart set on the light pink KitchenAid for forever, but recently I am being swayed by the mint version. Especially after seeing it in Alaina's house tour on The Everygirl.
-Loving this new Lululemon tank gifted to me by the Easter bunny (my mom). It is hard to tell but there are actually tiny white polka dots on it.
-Nothing is more classic than Essie's mint candy apple.
-Kate Spade has been making different versions of their big bauble earring for the past few seasons now, but these glassy mint studs are grabbing my attention.
-One of my roommates recently purchased this Lulu jacket and I envy it every time she wears it. The color is fabulous and it is the perfect jacket to throw on when heading to class.
-Green smoothie recipes are being seen all over Pinterest. My favorite combination is two big handfuls of spinach, almond milk, a tablespoon of almond butter, a frozen banana and 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt. I love the idea of throwing in some fresh mint to give it a fresh twist!
